Right-click Search is a Chrome add-on developed by Scitodate. This free tool allows users to add entries in the right-click menu, enabling them to search selected text on any website. With this handy extension, users can save time by automatically filling in their selected text in a search bar of their choice.
Upon right-clicking on selected text, users can easily access search results, saving them the hassle of opening a new tab and executing a search manually. The extension also allows users to re-use advanced filters that they commonly apply, further enhancing their search experience.
Right-click Search provides 15+ preset websites, including popular platforms like Gmail, Salesforce, and LinkedIn (Sales Navigator). Additionally, users have the flexibility to add any other searchable website of their choice.
This extension is ideal for individuals who frequently search on specific websites, such as salespeople, recruiters, and researchers. It eliminates the need to open a new tab, navigate to the desired website, and set up the same filters repeatedly.
To use Right-click Search, simply select a website from the available presets or add a custom website. Then, right-click on the desired text, choose a saved website, and voila! A new tab with the search results will open.
It's important to note that the extension currently only works on websites that store queries in the URL. Additionally, users can add up to 16 websites due to limitations of context menus in Google Chrome.
